4th of July Weekend and Freedom Festival

We attended the Freedom Festival in Provo and learned a thing or two about the Declaration of Independence and a few other fun facts.

Not directly related to Sam Huntington, but thought it was cool to see a familiar name on the Declaration.

I liked this painting of Wilford Woodruff's dream to do the Founders' temple work. These truly were inspired men of God.

Love the bagpipes. When they're played right, they're so pretty. I don't think my video of it did them justice.

There was a fun bird and reptile show this guy came to do for free. It included a 16' python. The kids loved it. And so did Alex.

Pretty little bird.

Alex's cousin Kristin invited us to come to the Stadium of Fire to see David Archuletta and Brad Paisley. Since, we'd never been to Stadium of Fire, we were all over it. The best fireworks show I've seen to date.

Me and my hubby, out without kids.

Alex and his uncle Roger.

Which Boy is Which?

I think they definitely don't look alike. Well, they may look like brothers, but they have very different features. Plus, one had a very different diet back in the day. You can tell by the chunky rolls of love. Of course I love them the same.

Pemberly Festival June 2011

All right, so I'm a little behind on posts of what's been going on. These next few will be short and simple quick posts to get up the photos and videos of our latest happening for all to see. This was our apartment complex having a festival. We live at the Pemberly Condos, so that's why the name. Started off with a parade which Orion didn't move very quickly in. Still, he made it around. It was funny watching him play duck duck goose and not understand what he was supposed to do. Guess we have to play that one more often. Then, I loved how Alex tried to cheat throughout the three-legged race by carrying his partner all the way. No, he didn't win. Because cheaters never prosper. And what festival would be complete without a tug-of-war? Not to mention BBQ and a pie tasting contest. I should have gotten pics of it. They looked so good. And tasted better. I was on a sugar high for hours after.

Karate Lessons

At the Strawberry days festival, Orion won some free Karate lessons for a month and a half. Complete with a new uniform and belt once he broke his first board, and some one-on-one instructions. This was his first class.

Happy Late Father's Day

Okay, so I'm behind on blogging. Oh well. These are still things I want to record. I wanted to make some fun picture collages of the kids for my hubby and my dad. I know they love pictures of the kids. So I got the kids dressed up, somehow got out the door and found a spot to take pictures. Then I made these collages for the two fathers in my life that mean the most to me along with some fun handmade cards. Nothing too crazy. But here are the best of the photos I could capture with my humble little camera. Happy late Father's Day!

For the Grandfather, aka my dad.

For the dad, aka Alex.

And here are some extra shots I got of the kids. I should really do a post of all the photos I took that didn't turn out how I envisioned. That would be funny. Maybe I will. Later.

Brought some limes for them to play with and to use as props. I figured they matched the color scheme I was using.

Love that smile.

My pretty angel.

"How much longer do I have to do this for Mom?"

Can you resist these cute boys?

The one photo I got them all to smile in.

My favorite baby.
