An Outing with Extended Family
Alex's cousin Tracy had yet another performance. Last night, they performed Handel's Messiah for free at the Orem public library. Since I've never actually heard the whole thing from start to finish, I thought this would be a good thing to gather the chickens all together for to go and enjoy. Since it was at the library, the bookshelves with all the colorful books happened to be quite the distraction for the little ones. But all in all, it was a wonderful performance. It really is like hearing angels sing and the Deseret Chamber singers are really good. I can't believe that prior to tonight I only knew three parts of this beautiful choral presentation. Job well done Tracy. We are so thrilled to be near family members and have the opportunity to attend events such as these. Messiah is really quite the inspired musical composition. It's so sad that more people don't listen to stuff like this anymore. I think the world would be a much better place if they did.
