This is what happens when . . .

You're seriously sleep-deprived.  I went to put the baby in the bouncer one morning after nursing all night long again, and without really realizing, I began to put the baby in the laundry basket that was just laying out.  I didn't actually lay him there.  But as I finally began to snap back into it from my drowsy sleep-walk, I did wonder how he would look in there.  So I then laid him down briefly to snap a photo while the kids were all wondering what Edi was doing in the laundry basket.  I don't think he liked it much.

So what else happened in October?

Well, we supported Ron Paul at UVU.

Brought my roommate Debbie a meal, and visited her sweet baby again.

 Went to Hee Haw Farms,

 Slid down slides,

 Went for Hay Rides,

Were awed by gigantic pumpkins that weigh more than we do.

Lived through a long corn maze,

 Stretched to greater heights.

Pretended to be apples,

 Played with animals,

 Met Ma from Babe, (Jk),

Tried to feed pumpkins to goats,

 Made new friends,

Oooed and Awwwed at baby piglets,

Discussed why we rarely eat beef,

Went on some wishful thinking hunts for home lots to build on,

And had ladybugs land on us while picking wild edibles to eat.  Among other things.

Susan's Shower

This boy never gives me a minute to work on anything around the house.  So my house is a disaster.  Still, he's cute.

But I must admit, going to this store is Heaven.  It so happened that on this particular day, the Heavens were smiling down on Hobby Lobby.

And my reasons for going were to gather some supplies to put together a Lady Bug themed baby shower for my friend's first little girl.  She already has two boys.

So here's to Little Lady Lucy.

Sue with just a few weeks left.

 Gift time.

Some of the cute gifts she received, including this handmade quilt.

I think she was happy.  At least I hope she was.  Good luck Susan!  Can't wait to meet baby Lucy.  Thanks for letting me throw you a shower.  It's good creative therapy for me.  :)

Some October Randoms

A praying puppet Orion made at church.

The Grove 1st Ward had a Tailgate party and someone's husband made this special Y out of rice krispies.  I thought it was fun.

 The yummy food.

 Cutey little shoes.

Sweet baby sleeps with a girl's pacifier and a chuyo.

My goofy girl thinks markers can be used as make-up.

A funny hand gesture Edison makes.

 Up close.

After church one Sunday, Grandma Cheryl takes a nap with little Edi.  I love how sweet they both look in this photo.

Another day we spend time with the Larsons and Alex practices the accordian.  He definitely needs to practice.

Someone Turned Two

Dr. Seuss was the theme I used to decorate for Hinckley's second birthday.  Since my family is full of party poopers that never show up, I decided to bring the party to them this year.  And I'm glad I did.  I'm also glad we waited to celebrate his birthday because I had family from Peru that I rarely see there and Alex's mom was in town too so she played Happy Birthday on Grandpa Joe Larson's accordian.  Sadly, Grandpa Joe has passed away.  But his music and talent live on in his daughter who now shares it with us on these random occasions.  I must say it was quite special to have Grandma Cheryl play Happy Birthday to Hinckley this year.

So here's the set up.  I decorated my piano.

Since the theme was Dr. Seuss, I thought it fitting to wear a Thing 2 on his shirt so made him a fun tag.

 His little friends.  Here's Walter.

And James.  Elliot was there too with Tate and Lilly.  But I guess I didn't get pictures of everyone.  Rats.

And here's Thing 2 with his aunt Gio.  So fitting that Boy number two has turned 2.  I thought it was clever.

Enjoying his birthday cake and vegan ice cream.

Opening presents and off to bed.

Happy Birthday sweet boy!  Hinckley James Huntington turns two.  When did that happen?  I swear I just gave birth to that boy.  Time does fly.
